Why College? Part 1 — Opening (and Shutting) Doors

For me the question of “Why College?” is something I have considered very seriously in the course of completing my degree. I am technically an alumnus of University College London. When I finish the degree I started in 2005 I will also be an alumnus of the University of Westminster. One degree, two universities: I have asked the question “Why College?” not once, but twice. The first time I asked myself that question I barely had to think about it. I was already going to college and I was going to a good one.
